AltaStata concept was invented by Serge Vilvovsky, a cybersecurity / Big Data / cloud expert and MIT Lincoln Labs alumnus. Early on, Serge saw a gap in the cybersecurity market, as it related to Public Clouds, which were becoming increasingly popular at the time, especially for data storage, inter-device communication and ML/AI computing. However, the industry was seeing strong pushback from the market due to concerns of cloud security. Ongoing introduction of privacy and industry compliance requirements further complicates transition to the cloud.
AltaStata provides an independent way to protect sensitive and personal data in the cloud from internal and external breaches through our patented method. The approach does not require customers to change business processes, does not impact performance or scalability of the cloud, reduces cloud costs and can be implemented in hours.
Universe of use cases for AltaStata technology expands every day with the growth of data available for ML and AI analysis coupled with the need to protect that sensitive data.
